The day trip my Dad and I took with Juan Carlos was the highlight of our trip to El Salvador! While staying at the Decameron, I was looking for tours to compare with the tours the hotel offers when I read a great review of Shuttles and Tours on TripAdvisor and contacted them. Luis emailed me back right away, and I was able to book a tour for the end of the week. Juan Carlos took us on a fantastic tour of the Ruta de las Flores, where we stopped in several beautiful towns, took a hike to a lovely waterfall and took our time exploring markets and tasting coffee! Juan Carlos is a fantastic guide and a wonderful person. It was great getting to know him, and learning more about El Salvdor from him. I would recommend this tour company to anyone!! The tours are very flexible, and the company is very well organized. For about the same price as the Decameron tours, you get a private tour at your own pace, and a fantastic guide! Thanks for everything Juan Carlos, hope to see you again!! |

My trip to El Salvador was the BEST TRIP EVER thanks to Luis, Juan Carlos, and the rest of the group at Shuttles n Tours. Luis was awesome, and very prompt in returning my emails and phone calls. He went out of his way to accommodate me in seeing the sights that I wanted to see in El Salvador. Because of this, I ended up booking tours with him for 3 out of the 5 days that I was there. I’m so happy I did, because they were amazing!! I wish I would have been able to book more! Each tour was personalised, so if you wanted to stop somewhere off the beaten path, you could. Something you definitely would not be able to do with a larger tour company, especially those tours going from Decameron. Juan Carlos was amazing - an excellent guide, driver, and friend, who made the tours so much more fun. Wherever we stopped, I knew that it was going to be good. I had the most amazing time in El Salvador, and I have Luis, Juan Carlos, and Shuttles n Tours to thank for it... Thanks guys!!!! See you again in January 2010! !! :) |

While on a recent trip to El Salvador I had the most enjoyable experience touring with Shuttles and Tours. Luis went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. From our initial e-mails to our arrival and stay the service was exceptional. I have never encountered a more attentive guide. I had big exceptations however Luis took the opportunity to treat us like family and ensured our time there was safe and enjoyable. We had a Barbecue lunch and tour of the lake where his Grandfather settled that gave you a sense of the country and culture that you would never experience from a basic tour offered at the resorts. It was personable, unrushed and informative. I must say this trip was by far the best I have ever had. On the spur of the moment we felt so safe and confident in his company we decided to book another tour which Luis again went above and beyond to accomodate and personalize our wishes. After returning home Luis was kind enough to take the time to follow-up and extend his thanks for our visit to El Salvador. Would I recommend Shuttles and Tours to anyone travelling to El Salvador? ABSOLUTELY! You will not be disappointed. Again thanks Luis for granting my wish of visiting an orphanage for special needs children, it was very rewarding and the highlight of my trip. The memories we all brought back will be forever in our hearts. |

This has got to be one of my most adventures trips ever. Luis & Hymen treated us like gold, wonderful tours and shopping & a trip to the nicest orphanage I have ever seen. Thank-you both for a super time. God bless and take care you are both very special. |

Where to begin! I learned about Shuttles & Tours from a very positive post on tripadvisor.com so I contacted Luis and was pleasantly surprised to get an instant reply on a Friday night. I along with my two kids (15 and 11) stayed at the Royal Decameron but did not want to do the big group excursions - we wanted something more adventurous and personal. Shuttles & Tours exceeded our expectations.
Our plan was to surf, zipline and see some of the country. We did all that and then some. Luis suggested horseback riding up into the mountains for our last day - this is where the guerrillas fought during the civil war; ;a trip I highly recommend. The lunch spots were outstanding and the extra stops at various markets were so appreciated. You just can't get this kind of service in a large tour.
Our driver was so pleasant, thorough and accommodating and took very good care of us. So much so that it got to the point where I did not even care where we went. If he stopped and opened the door, we just got out, knowing full well that what waited for us was going to be great. Our surf guide was equally great. he spoke very good English and we had so much fun in our attempt at some waves.
One would expect that all this would add considerably to the cost of your trip but I found Shuttles & Tours to be less expensive and far better value than a group tour offered.
Luis and his team made our trip very special and I would highly recommend his service to anyone traveling to El Salvador. We intend on returning to El Salvador and using his services again.
